York City 1-3 Rochdale

York City's winless start to the National League season continued with a 3-1 defeat at home to relegated Rochdale.

Tyrese Sinclair's 36th-minute penalty gave Rochdale the upper hand.

York then struck back on the verge of half-time when Adam Crookes headed home in the ninth minute of added time.

But, after Crookes received a red card, Sinclair then converted from the penalty spot for a second time on 53 minutes to put Dale back in front.

Ian Henderson then made it 3-1 to Dale late on, netting his third goal of the season.
