Dean Campbell's penalty earned a point for Barrow at 10-man Newport County.

Newport had a penalty of their own when George Ray brought down Will Evans, but Omar Bogle hit the post.

The Exiles did take the lead when Shane McLoughlin sent a rocket into the top corner from Lewis Payne's slide pass, but moments after that had Ryan Delaney sent off for a second yellow.

Barrow equalised when Adam Lewis fouled Robbie Gotts in the area and Campbell made no mistake.

Newport remain a point behind Barrow in 12th in League Two, with Barrow in 10th.

Newport County manager Graham Coughlan told BBC Sport Wales: "We were up against a really, really strong team... and I thought it was a really good advert for League Two football.

"I've got an absolute top bunch of fellas in that changing room, great group of lads and their resilience is unbelievable... they work their socks off and they represent the club and they represent the badge extremely well.

"I'm not going to stand here and speak about (refereeing) decisions because we could be here all night... that's for the football authorities because it's not just me saying it, it's 92 managers that are saying the same thing week in week out."
