Ben Cabango: Defender a Wales doubt as he adds to Swansea City's injury concerns

Ben Cabango is a doubt for Wales' Euro 2024 qualifier against Croatia after picking up a hamstring injury during Swansea City's win over Norwich City on Wednesday.
Cabango is in the Wales squad for a friendly with Gibraltar on Wednesday, 11 October and the key game against Croatia four days later.
But Michael Duff says the centre-back may not join up with Wales.
"We don't know bad it is," the Swansea head coach said.
"He felt it in the first half. The pleasing thing is it's not gone bang, so it might be a bit of cramp, it might be a bit of fatigue.
"He has done the right thing coming off.
"After Saturday there is an international break and Ben will be desperate to go away and represent his country, but obviously if he's not fit at the weekend, it's probably unlikely that he will be going away because he will be deemed as injured.
"Hopefully it's just a sensation rather than anything untoward."
Cabango's injury is the latest setback for a Swansea squad who lost fellow centre-back Nathan Wood, midfielder Joe Allen and forward Josh Ginnelly to long-term injuries last week.
Another defender, Kristian Pedersen, has missed Swansea's last two games with a groin problem and is also a doubt for Saturday's trip to Plymouth Argyle.
"We are getting light on bodies - the squad is getting thin," Duff said.
Bashir Humphreys moved from left-back to central defence after Cabango was forced off in the 64th minute of the Norwich win, with Josh Tymon coming off the bench to operate on the left flank.
Kyle Naughton is the only other potential central defensive option available for Plymouth, where Swansea will go in search of a fourth straight victory.
They claimed all three points against Norwich courtesy of on-loan Chelsea youngster Humphreys' late winner, after Jamal Lowe's opener was cancelled out by Gabriel Sara.
"Bash has been great," Duff said. "Sometimes when players come from big clubs they feel like they are almost doing you a favour by being here.
"But his mentality is his best attribute. He has come in, he wants to learn, he has been adaptable, asks questions and is a really humble kid.
"In my opinion he will go on and play in the top league based on his mentality."
