Blackburn Rovers boss Jon Dahl Tomasson says he still sees a "lot of good things" in his side despite their four-game Championship losing run.

Wednesday's defeat away at Coventry City left Rovers 20th in the table.

Despite their position, Rovers have put together creditable performances against in-form Leicester and Ipswich during their recent losing run.

"I'm never happy with not winning games [nor are] the players, staff, and the fans," Tomasson told BBC Lancashire.

"It's always good that we won [in the Carabao Cup] against Cardiff, we shouldn't forget that. If you look at the Coventry game, we probably could have won it. If you look at Leicester and Sunderland, we probably could have got a result as well. That is something we need to work on.

"What I see are a lot of good things. Normally things change in a period like that."

Blackburn have conceded 14 goals in their past five games in all competitions, something Tomasson knows his side need to rectify if they are to move up the table.

"The things we are doing are good. But we've been giving too easy goals away," he added.

"We were quite solid against Coventry for most of the game. Before we gave goals away, I thought we created many chances to create goals to win games. We're one of the best in the league for goal chances but we need to score."
