Cameron McGeehan: Colchester United midfielder relishing chance to 'start again'

Northern Ireland midfielder Cameron McGeehan says Colchester was a great place to "start again" in September after three years playing in Belgium.
The 28-year-old was a free agent after leaving Belgian second-tier side KV Oostende during the summer.
He previously played for Luton, Norwich and Portsmouth amongst others.
"I did have a few options in the summer but speaking to the manager it seemed a great place to come back and start again and I'm enjoying that," he said.
"I love a challenge and seeing where it goes. So far it seems a good fit and I'm exactly where I should be.
"I've had my wife [former Made in Chelsea star Tiffany Watson] supporting me throughout and that has helped a lot."
McGeehan, who made his international debut in a European Championship qualifier against San Marino in March, has yet to complete a full match for Colchester.
U's boss Ben Garner has been "managing his training load" and increasing his involvement gradually.
He scored seven goals in 56 appearances during his time in Belgium.
"I always wanted to go abroad and wondered why British players didn't tend to go abroad. At the time when I went over, it was something a bit different to do," McGeehan told BBC Radio Essex.
"I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and trying to get the most out of my career and go a different path with it, learn new things.
"There's a bit of snobbery in England thinking Belgium's not so good."
McGeehan scored his first U's goal then received two yellow cards in nine minutes in Colchester's remarkable 5-4 win over top side Notts County.
He missed Tuesday's loss to Newport County but is available for Saturday's match against Morecambe.
