Millwall striker Kevin Nisbet has joined Ryan Jack in withdrawing from the Scotland squad before Thursday's Euro 2024 qualifier away to Spain.
The 26-year-old, who has scored twice in 11 games this season, was substituted after 58 minutes of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Hull City.
Midfielder Jack has missed Rangers' past two matches after picking up an injury against former club Aberdeen.
No replacements have been called up by head coach Steve Clarke.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal will miss out for Spain while midfield club-mate Gavi is an injury doubt.
Scotland will qualify for next summer's finals in Germany if they avoid defeat in Spain or if Norway fail to beat Cyprus on the same night.
Clarke's side top Group A with five wins from five and beat Spain 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Hampden Park in March.
Asked after Jack's withdrawal whether there would be additions to the squad, assistant John Carver said: "No, I think we're just going to leave it as it is.
"Steve picked the squad and we had an idea that Ryan had an issue and we were quite comfortable with what we had. There's guys waiting in the wings to come in and I'll touch on Lewis Ferguson in particular because of how well he's done in Italy in Bologna.
"He had a good season last year, you can see him developing physically, mentally. I think he captained the side the other night, which is a magnificent achievement for him.
"There's people there waiting to come in. You've got other lads - Kenny McLean, who's been excellent for us so we've got enough cover in that position to deal with the two games."
Another midfield option for Scotland is Scott McTominay, who netted twice in added time to secure Manchester United a 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday.
"It's great seeing him smile again because he's had a difficult time, but it just shows you the character in Scott because it would've been easy for him to give up, but he's stayed with it at Man United," Carver said of McTominay's struggles to get into the United starting line-up.
"He's stuck in there, he worked extremely hard. He got himself five minutes, 10 minutes and he came on at the weekend because he's got such a good attitude and he goes on there and gets the two goals, which get Man United out of jail. That's the type of professional he is. He's ultra professional.
"He's a player that can play in that big arena at Man United because only special players can play in there and he proved that he's good enough to play in that environment, which will help us for sure. He has matured, he has developed and long may that continue. He loves playing for Scotland, as all the guys do."
Back four 'something we are thinking about'
Scotland had already lost Kieran Tierney, the Arsenal defender who picked up an injury on loan to Real Sociedad.
Carver hinted the management team were open to switching from a back three to a back four - as they did for the 0-0 draw with Ukraine that sealed top spot in their Nations League group last year.
"It's definitely something we've spoken about and will continue to speak about," he said.
"It's something that we are definitely thinking about. [Tierney's] a loss, he's a big loss. It's a shame, it's a shock because he's a great character around the place as well. All the lads love him, as we do.
"We're fortunate to have good players in those areas - Scott McKenna, who plays left centre-back, Liam Cooper and also you've got Greg Taylor, who's come in on a high from Celtic and who's just scored at the weekend there."
