Carlisle opted against contesting the charge because of lack of evidence

Goalkeeping coach Dave Timmins has been banned from the touchline for two games for using abusive language towards a match official following Carlisle's draw with Peterborough on 3 October.

The 52-year-old's case was heard by an independent regulatory commission, who imposed the ban and a £750 fine.

Timmins was deemed to have twice breached the FA's E3.1 rule, on the pitch and in the tunnel area.

He joined Paul Simpson's staff at Carlisle in July 2023.

"We've had to accept the charge, because we have no evidence to support what we're saying," boss Simpson said before the hearing., external
