Assistant manager Kevin Russell has left Cheltenham Town by mutual consent.

Russell joined the club this summer and took interim charge following the departure of Wade Elliott last month.

He oversaw two League One defeats - 3-0 to Stevenage and 2-0 at Lincoln - before Darrell Clarke took over.

"I am extremely grateful to Kevin for his hard work and dedication, and for his willingness to step in to manage the side during an extremely difficult period," said chairman David Bloxham., external
