Matt Loaring equalled the Guernsey FC all-time appearance record but his side slipped to a seventh successive defeat in a 4-1 loss at Chipstead.

Jacob Sewell gave the hosts a 27th-minute lead, but Joe Alvarez equalised with a deflected goal soon after.

Loaring hit the post early in the second half before Chipstead responded.

Abel Vendrells put them in front after an hour and Martin Sontan hit their third 13 minutes later before Arlie Desanges' stoppage time goal.

The loss, in Loaring's 363rd appearance, sees Guernsey remain third-from bottom in Isthmian League South Central having not won since the opening game of the season, while Chipstead go sixth.

Guernsey will hope they can improve their results when they host mid-table Ashford Town at Footes Lane on Saturday.
