Wrexham have named Andy Lowe as their new academy manager.

Lowe, 42, arrives from Hartlepool United, where he had held the same role since July 2022.

Wrexham announced in July that they planned to appoint a number of new academy staff following their promotion to League Two.

The north Wales club made re-forming their academy "an immediate priority" after their return to the English Football League (EFL).

Wrexham said they did not have the right resources to develop young players during the majority of their 15-year exile from the EFL.

Lowe told Wrexham's website he was relishing the prospect of "establishing an EFL academy with the club".

"It has been fantastic to see the positive feel the re-introduction of the academy has brought within the club in recent weeks," he added.
