New signing David Wotherspoon made an immediate impact on his debut, scoring the only goal as Inverness Caledonian Thistle beat Airdrieonians.

The Canada international, who left St Johnstone at the end of last term, netted just before the break after showing good composure to make space.

Despite the win, Duncan Ferguson's side remain in the relegation play-off place - with only goal difference keeping them off the bottom.
