Cymru Premier round-up: Franklin scores four in Nomads win

Connah's Quay Nomads 6-1 Caernarfon Town: Harry Franklin scored four goals as Connah's Quay moved level on points with leaders The New Saints after a big win over Caernarfon Town at the Essity Stadium. Franklin had scored a hat-trick inside 10 minutes for the hosts, with Jack Kenny and substitute Josh Williams scoring to extend Nomads' unbeaten run to 11 league games. Louis Lloyd scored a late consolation for Caernarfon.
Penybont 0-2 Aberystwyth Town: Aberystwyth remain bottom of the table despite an impressive 2-0 win at Penybont, only their second league win of the season. Owen Taylor gave Aber a 14th minute. Ashley Evans was shown a red card for handling the ball in the penalty area and from the resulting kick captain Jack Thorn doubled the lead as Penybont suffered a fourth successive league defeat.

Colwyn Bay 0-1 Barry Town United: Barry bounced back from their 6-2 home loss to The New Saints with victory at Colwyn Bay, Kayne McLaggon grabbing the crucial goal to leave the hosts without a league win in five games.
Newtown 1-1 Haverfordwest County: Aaron Williams gave Newtown the lead after just four minutes, but Rhys Abbruzzese conjured an equaliser for the visitors before half-time to rescue a draw. The sides had last met at Latham Park in May, when Haverfordwest won the play-off final on penalties to secure European football.
Pontypridd United 1-3 Cardiff Met: Met staged a fine comeback to take the points at Pontypridd, who had led through Jack Karadogan. But Eliot Evans levelled on the stroke of half-time, before Lewis Rees and Thomas Vincent eased the Students away in the second half. The two sides had been due to meet in the Nathaniel MG Cup in midweek but the game was postponed due to an on-going investigation into a potential breach of Football Association of Wales rules.
The New Saints v Bala Town; 17:15 BST: Saints remain top and unbeaten after a seventh successive league triumph with Ben Clark getting the opener and Ryan Brobbel sealing victory after a trip on Danny Redmond.
