Wycombe Wanderers have agreed a new long-term contract with experienced midfielder Josh Scowen.

The 30-year-old, who began his career at Adams Park before returning for a second spell in 2021, had signed a one-year extension last summer.

Scowen, the Chairboys' current player of the year, has scored seven goals in 176 league appearances for the club.

"It's a big step forward knowing we've got Josh tied down here," said Wycombe boss Matt Bloomfield.

"He's an extremely popular player with the fans. This is his club and he's here to stay."

Wycombe have not revealed the exact length of the new deal for Scowen, who rejoined the club following spells at Barnsley, QPR and Sunderland.

The League One club is currently 10th in the table.
