Karlan Grant's only goal for Cardiff City to date came in a 3-2 win over Coventry City in September

Karlan Grant says he has not heard from parent club West Bromwich Albion since joining Cardiff City on loan during the summer.

The striker will spend the duration of the 2023-24 season with the Bluebirds but remains contracted to the Baggies until 2026.

"I haven't spoken to them [West Brom]," said the 26-year-old forward.

"I don't really know how it works, I'm just focused on enjoying my football here."

Grant has been a pivotal figure under manager Erol Bulut this season, featuring in all 14 of Cardiff's Championship matches so far.

The 26-year-old started just 18 league matches throughout the entirety of the 2022-23 season with West Brom.

"I wanted to play games," Grant said of his loan switch to the Cardiff City Stadium.

"I'm not one of those players that wants to just sit around and wait out my contract.

"I wanted to come here, play, prove myself and I've definitely got more to come."

When asked if he could stay at Cardiff beyond his current loan stint, Grant responded: "I think we'll see."
