Blackburn defender Scott Wharton has had his red card overturned from their Championship win against Norwich after appealing against the decision.

The 26-year-old was dismissed by referee Josh Smith after 54 minutes for denying a goalscoring opportunity.

Wharton saw red for tripping Canaries winger Onel Hernandez, following a defensive error from Rovers.

The decision means Wharton will now be available for Friday's Lancashire derby against Preston North End.
