West Ham transfer news: Hammers close to signing Australia midfielder Katrina Gorry

West Ham are close to agreeing a move for experienced Australia midfielder Katrina Gorry in January.
Gorry, 31, was a key player for the Matildas at this year's Women's World Cup as they reached the semi-finals for the first time on home soil.
It is understood discussions took place in the summer with West Ham manager Rehanne Skinner, who was doing punditry work during the World Cup.
Gorry, who has 103 caps, left Sweden's Vittsjo GIK and would be a free agent.
Several Women's Super League (WSL) clubs have expressed interest in signing Gorry's compatriot Charlotte Grant, 22, who has also left Vittsjo GIK.
Tottenham are among the WSL clubs to have held discussions with Grant, while West Ham and Arsenal are also said to have shown interest - but the Gunners would need to offload players in January because of a full squad.
Asked about intentions to recruit in the January transfer window, Tottenham boss Robert Vilahamn told BBC Sport in a media conference: "Absolutely. There's going to be players in over Christmas, absolutely."
