Tommy Conway earned Bristol City their first point in three games as they held Huddersfield Town to a draw at the John Smith's Stadium.
Delano Burgzorg put the hosts ahead with a clinical finish after excellent work from David Kasumu to carve out the chance.
The Robins hit back immediately after the break, with Tommy Conway tapping home the equaliser.
Huddersfield had claims for a penalty waved away when George Tanner appeared to handle in the box, and while both sides had second-half chances neither could find a winner.
The Robins started brightly in search of their first win away from home for more than two months, with Terriers goalkeeper Chris Maxwell keeping team-mate Jaheim Headley from poking the ball into his own net inside the first 20 seconds before also denying Mark Sykes, Conway and Rob Dickie early on.
A sloppy attempted clearance from Bristol City goalkeeper Max O'Leary, which came off the head of Ben Wiles, then almost gifted the hosts the lead.
But Burgzorg put them ahead with a cool low finish after Kasumu won the ball in his own half and burst forward to create the opportunity.
A deflected Sykes cross forced a reaction save from Maxwell and while Conway could only find the side-netting with a late first-half chance, he eventually stroked home from 12 yards in the 46th minute following a low cross from Andreas Weimann.
The hosts felt aggrieved in the 54th minute when no penalty was given when the ball cannoned off Tanner's arm in the area, with Josh Koroma well-placed to finish.
Late on, Bristol City's Jason Knight made space for himself in the area, but could only drag his shot wide, while substitute Brahima Diarra tried an acrobatic effort and Jonathan Hogg sent a shot wide for the Terriers.
A point each leaves Huddersfield just one place and two points above the relegation spots, while Bristol City remain mid-table in 14th.
Huddersfield manager Darren Moore said:
"Conceding the goal straight after half-time when we were in possession was frustrating.
"The way we battled and scrapped it was a point earned really, great resilience shown by the players.
"I thought Kas [David Kasumu] has been fantastic since his return, the way he powered up the pitch and got that counter, not many could have done that for us."
Bristol City head coach Liam Manning told BBC Radio Bristol:
"Frustration is the emotion right now, and it's a frustrated changing room as well.
"When you look at how we played first half, it was some terrific stuff but again it was the final actions.
"But the big step forward from the Norwich game is the volume of chances we created, and shots on goal.
"We were frustrated with the goal we gave away but what we saw second half was fight, spirit, people desperate to do well and a real honesty about what we did."
