Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 Airdrieonians: James McPake's side survive late scare
- Published
Dunfermline Athletic consolidated fourth place in the Scottish Championship as they saw off Aidrieonians at the Excelsior Stadium.
Josh Edwards slotted the visitors into a first-half lead, before Matty Todd's finish doubled the advantage in the second period.
The hosts had hope when Callum Gallagher stepped up to score a late penalty after being upended in the box by Paul Allan.
But the spot-kick came too late, meaning Rhys McCabe's side failed to narrow the gap on their opponents and stay fifth.
