Arthur Okonkwo: Wrexham's on-loan Arsenal goalkeeper to have surgery on jaw
- Published
Wrexham's on-loan goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo has returned to parent club Arsenal for minor surgery.
The 22-year-old suffered a jaw injury in the 2-2 draw at Harrogate Town on 28 November which saw him withdrawn at half-time.
Mark Howard took over between the posts and then played in Sunday's 3-0 FA Cup second-round win over Yeovil Town.
Okonkwo is expected to be out for weeks rather than months and will likely play in a protective mask on his return.
Okonkwo has made 13 Wrexham appearances since signing on a season-long loan on transfer deadline day.
