Blackburn manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has been given a one-game touchline ban and fined £2,000 by the Football Association for misconduct during Saturday's loss at Sheffield Wednesday.

Tomasson was sent off for protesting in the aftermath of Marvin Johnson's goal.

The Dane admitted acting in an improper manner and "using abusive and/or insulting words to a match official".

He will be absent from the dugout for Leeds United's visit in an early Championship fixture this Saturday.

Blackburn are seventh in the Championship table following their 3-1 defeat by the Owls, two points outside the play-off places.

Leeds are 10 points ahead of Rovers in third place going into Saturday's game.
