West Ham have signed USA international midfielder Kristie Mewis.
The 32-year-old joins the Hammers after helping NJ/NY Gotham FC win the National Women's Soccer League title.
Mewis has been capped 53 times by the United States since making her debut in 2013.
"I am delighted to be joining West Ham United," she told West Ham TV. "I have always wanted to play in the Women's Super League. It feels like a dream come true."
Mewis has signed an 18-month deal until June 2025.
The move, which is subject to work permit and international clearance, sees Mewis join a club that holds a special place in her heart.
"When I visited London for the first time, I went to my first football match at Upton Park," she added.
"The culture and energy of West Ham captivated me straightaway and nothing has ever lived up to that moment - it was one of the happiest days of my life.
"It feels like I have come a full circle from that moment and it's incredible to now be officially part of the West Ham family. I will work hard, try to lead by example and give everything for this badge."
