Ayr United 2-2 Dunfermline Athletic: Hosts recover from two early Alex Jakubiak strikes

  • Published

Ayr United recovered from two Alex Jakubiak goals within the opening 10 minutes to secure a point at home to Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Championship.

The striker fired the opener after three minutes and a similar finish gave the Fifers an ideal start.

However, winger Aiden McGeady's shot found the bottom corner shortly before the break.

And defender Frankie Musonda equalised with a close-range header.

Fourth-top Dunfermline move to within six points of Partick Thistle with a game in hand, while Ayr stay seventh.
