Tottenham have recalled striker Dane Scarlett from his loan at Championship club Ipswich Town.

The 19-year-old joined Kieran McKenna's Tractor Boys in the summer and made 12 appearances without scoring in the second tier.

Scarlett will join Ange Postecoglou's squad with immediate effect, having played 11 first-team games for Spurs.

Tottenham expect captain Son Heung-min to be unavailable in January because of South Korea's Asian Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, midfielder Sam Morsy is suspended for one game and fined £5,000 for a breach of FA Rule E3.1 in the win over Middlesbrough earlier in the month.

The 32-year-old, who is the Tractor Boys captain, admitted to the charge of improper conduct and/or used insulting words and/or behaviour toward a match official in and around the changing rooms after the game.

Ipswich say neither they nor Morsy will make further comment.
