John Buckley: Blackburn Rovers recall midfielder from Sheffield Wednesday after surgery

John Buckley played 13 games for Wednesday before his injury against QPR

Blackburn Rovers midfielder John Buckley has been recalled from his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday after having shoulder surgery.

The 24-year-old joined Wednesday in the August transfer window and made 13 Championship appearances.

Buckley, who has nine goals in 130 Rovers games, was injured after only 15 minutes on the pitch in his final Owls outing against QPR last month.

He has returned to Ewood Park to continue his rehabilitation.
