Manager Andrew Stokes and his assistant Danny Thomas have left struggling Cymru Premier club Pontypridd United.

Pontypridd are bottom of the table with four wins and four draws in 21 games.

They have also been deducted six points and threatened with the loss of 135 more over player contract breaches.

In 2022-23, Stokes guided Pontypridd into the league's top eight and he said leading them had been "an honour and privilege".

He added: "I have hugely appreciated the support of the board, ambassadors, sponsors, club officials, players and staff."

Pontypridd stated they "would like to thank 'Stokesy' and Danny for their contributions to the club and wish them all the very best for the future, they will be greatly missed".
