James Beadle: Sheffield Wednesday sign Brighton goalkeeper on loan

James Beadle had been ever-present in the league for Oxford United this season

Sheffield Wednesday have signed Brighton goalkeeper James Beadle on loan until the end of the season, after the Seagulls recalled him from Oxford.

The 19-year-old spent the first half of the campaign with the U's and made 25 League One appearances.

Oxford boss Des Buckingham said Beadle was an "outstanding young talent" and he was "disappointed" to be losing him.

The England Under-20 international could make his Owls debut in Saturday's Championship game at Southampton.
