St Johnstone have signed Israel defender David Keltjens on a deal until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old, who has been capped six times, was released by Hapoel Tel Aviv last summer.

Keltjens, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, moved to the Tel Aviv side from Hapoel Be'er Sheva in 2022 and played 23 games last season.

He will join Craig Levein's squad, currently 10th in the Scottish Premiership, on Thursday.

Keltjens becomes St Johnstone's third January arrival after Swedish striker Benjamin Kimpioka, who moved from AIK on an 18-month contract, and Aston Villa loanee Kerr Smith.
