Tranmere Rovers boss Nigel Adkins has been given a one-match touchline ban by the Football Association.

Adkins has also been fined £750 after admitting an FA charge of improper conduct for his sending-off in the win over Notts County on New Year's Day.

He said last week that he would be admitting the charge, adding "[I] believe it is important that lessons are learned from the incidents".

Adkins will now be in the stands for Saturday's home match against MK Dons.
