John-Kymani Gordon: AFC Wimbledon sign Crystal Palace youngster on loan

John-Kymani Gordon started Carlisle United's League Two play-off final win over Stockport County in May

AFC Wimbledon have signed Crystal Palace forward John-Kymani Gordon on loan until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old played 19 games on loan at League One side Cambridge United in the first half of this season.

Last January he joined Carlisle on loan and helped the Cumbrians win promotion to League One through the play-offs.

"John-Kymani is a really exciting young player that Crystal Palace have really high hopes for," Dons boss Johnnie Jackson told the club website.

"He has huge potential to one day play for them - it's a great opportunity for him and us.vHe can play wide and he can play up front, he gives us options in attack.

"He's had success at the level already having been promoted with Carlisle last season, he fits the bill for the sort of player we're looking for.

"He'll be a real asset for us between now and the end of the season."
