Burton Albion have signed Rotherham United defender Tolaji Bola on loan for the rest of the season.

The 25-year-old has made four appearances in all competitions for the Championship Millers this season, who he joined in August 2021.

Bola previously spent time on loan at Bradford City last season, managing four appearances in a five-month spell.

"It feels brilliant to be here," he told the club website, external.

He continued: "I can't wait to get started. I'm really looking forward to getting on the pitch and helping the team have a successful end to the season.

"I'm a wing-back who likes to do both, go forward and to help the attack as well as doing my defensive work. I always give my best on the pitch and I love a tackle as well.

"I spoke to the gaffer a couple of days ago and he laid out how he wants his players' to play and what he expects and it's all stuff I really stand by and I'm buzzing to get going."

Burton currently sit 15th in League One, and manager Martin Paterson is excited to add Bola to his squad.

He said: "Tolaji will add extra quality to the squad and will provide competition, mainly down the left-hand side.

"We hope that he can be a brilliant addition to the squad for the rest of the season."
