Everton have confirmed the signing of England youth international Eleanor Dale.

Dale, 21, had a medical with Everton on Wednesday and the club completed the deal before Wednesday's 23:00 GMT deadline.

Striker Dale has recently played in the United States with Nebraska Huskers, where she was predominantly used in the number nine position.

She becomes Everton's third signing in January.

Earlier this month, Everton boss Brian Sorensen said the club would need to let players leave to allow new signings but it is believed the arrival of Dale, who has been in talks with the Toffees for a while, is not dependent on any outgoings as it stands.

Everton announced on deadline day that defender Megan Campbell has left the club to join Championship side London City Lionesses.

The 30-year-old made eight appearances across all competitions in all competitions after joining from Liverpool in September.
