West Ham have signed Sweden midfielder Marika Bergman-Lundin from BK Hacken.

The 24-year-old joined on deadline day and is the Hammers' fourth signing in the January transfer window.

She follows the arrivals of Katrina Gorry, Kristie Mewis and on-loan defender Shelina Zadorsky to Rehanne Skinners' side.

"I wanted a fresh challenge and when West Ham showed an interest, it felt like the right place for me," said Bergman-Lundin.

"The women's game in England has grown over the last few years and it's been nice to see from a far, but it makes you want to be a part of it.

"I'm a player who likes to be on the ball and be creative with my passes. I also like a good tackle! I want to win everything and help the team however I can.

"It feels so good to be at West Ham and I'm really excited to get started."
