Swansea City: Luke Williams urges players to make 'big impact' before pivotal summer

Luke Williams urged his Swansea City players to show their best form over the final months of the season ahead of another pivotal summer for the club.
Six players will see their loans expire at the end of the season while several others will be out of contract.
Williams also challenged his squad to make their mark to ensure they remain in his long-term plans.
"That's just natural, there'll always be the back and forth," he said of the club's contract discussions.
"What's most important for the players is to try and play very well and give a really good account of themselves between now and the summer because that's going to make a big impact on what happens going forward."
Carl Rushworth, Bashir Humphreys, Jamal Lowe, Charlie Patino, Harrison Ashby and Charles Sagoe Jr. are currently on loan at the Swansea.com Stadium.
Liam Cullen, Joe Allen, Nathan Wood, Liam Walsh, Jamie Paterson, Kyle Naughton and Przemysław Płacheta will see their deals expire in the summer.
On the summer transfer window, Williams said: "Now we're looking forward to the summer where we've got more information about our own group and players that are out there and be really able to reshape the squad."
Meanwhile, Swansea will be without long-term absentees Josh Ginnelly, Liam Walsh and Sam Parker against Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Josh Key, Jamal Lowe, Harrison Ashby and Azeem Abdulai will also miss out, but are edging closer to full fitness while Harry Darling will be assessed before the game.
"I came to Fairwood before the game on Tuesday (against Leeds) to put on a session with the fitness guys and the players who are working on returning to play," added Williams.
"It was a tough session, so I was really happy to see them out on the pitch and I don't think they are too far away.
"They will not be ready to go for Saturday, but they are making good progress."
Meanwhile, summer signings Patino and Mykola Kuharevich have struggled for game time of late, although Williams stated he expects the pair to feature over the coming weeks.
"Neither player has done anything wrong," Williams said of Patino and Kuharevich.
"Trying to find the right balance of giving people a run in the team to try to help them to get some consistency and a good feeling, the balance between that and changing a lot is always difficult.
"Those guys are training really great, I've got no complaints so I expect to see them on the pitch in the near future."
