Barrow have said they will complain to the EFL after Saturday's League Two game against Bradford was called off.
The pitch was deemed unplayable by officials after an inspection just over an hour before the 15:00 GMT kick-off.
"We're very disappointed that the match officials have called today's match off," a Barrow statement said.
"We believe the pitch is in a playable state and are extremely disappointed by this outcome. We'll put a complaint towards the EFL."
The Cumbrian side, who are sixth in the table, instead conducted an open training session on the pitch, for fans already at Holker Street.
Speaking to BBC Radio Cumbria, Barrow boss Pete Wild said: "I actually offered Bradford to train in the other half of the pitch and we could maybe have had a training game - Graham (Alexander, Bradford boss) was up for it but he thought it might not be great with the Football League, and I understand that.
"I'm really baffled, disappointed, frustrated with the conclusion today.
"To be called off in the manner it's been called off - I think both sets of fans and clubs have been highly disrespected.
"I thought I'd seen a lot in football but I think today's just topped it off."
