Ayr United 1-2 Raith Rovers: Murray's men stay a point behind leaders Dundee Utd
- Published
Raith Rovers remain a point behind Scottish Championship leaders Dundee United after edging past Ayr United.
After scoring in the rousing victory over their title rivals last weekend, Zak Rudden netted his second goal in two games inside five minutes.
Scott Brown's hosts answered back promptly when Roy Syla found the net to rock Rovers.
But Lewis Vaughan grabbed what proved to be the winner in first-half injury time.
The striker dinked a fine finish over Celtic loanee Josh Clarke on the goalkeeper's Ayr debut.
Brown's side stay fifth but are now seven points behind fourth-place Morton.
