Cymru Premier round-up: TNS put eight past Caernarfon

Caernarfon Town 1-8 The New Saints: Leaders The New Saints were comfortable winners in the Championship Conference at Caernarfon where the visitors' Brad Young's opener was soon cancelled out by Sion Bradley. But Saints seized the initiative through Adrian Cieslewicz's brace before Young added his second as they led 4-1 at the break. Young completed his hat-trick after the break, Rory Holden added the sixth and Blaine Hudson the seventh. Holden made it a brace in the 90th minute. According to Guinness World Records, TNS are now four wins short of their record of 27-straight victories. Caernarfon remain sixth.
Barry Town United 1-1 Haverfordwest County: There was late drama at Jenner Park where Rhys Abbruzzese scored an equaliser in the sixth minute of added time in the Play-off Conference. Keenan Pattern put Barry ahead midway through the second half.
Penybont 1-1 Aberystwyth Town: Ryan Reynolds broke the deadlock after the break for hosts Penybont in the Play-off Conference, but Liam Walsh hit back late on to earn Aberystwyth the draw.

Pontypridd United 4-0 Colwyn Bay: Relegation-threatened Pontypridd made light work of it against bottom club Colwyn Bay. Goals from Dan Jones, Kieran Lewis, Owen Pritchard and Ben Margetson saw the hosts rise above Aberystwyth Town leaving Pontypridd five points from safety below Barry Town United in the Play-off Conference,
Newtown 1-5 Bala Town: A six-minute hat-trick from George Newell helped third-place Bala get back to winning ways against Newtown on Saturday. Osebi Abadaki put Bala ahead put Louis Robles equalised for the hosts. Then it became the George-Newell show, as he scored three times in six first half minutes to put Bala in complete control. Abadaki's second just before the hour mark sealed a comfortable win for the visitors.
Connah's Quay Nomads 2-1 Cardiff Met: Ben Nash and Jack Kenny put Nomads 2-0 up against the visitors before Lewis Rees gave Cardiff Met hope. But it was too little, too late as Nomads kept a firm grip on second place in the Championship Conference. Cardiff Met ended the game fourth and five points adrift of third-placed Newtown.
