First-half goals from Billy Mckay and Sean McAllister saw Inverness Caledonian Thistle end Greenock Morton's 14-game unbeaten run in the Scottish Championship.

Mckay scored inside two minutes to get Duncan Ferguson's side off to the perfect start at Cappielow, before McAllister doubled the lead with a free-kick.

Despite a series of corners, Morton were unable to find a route back into the game as Inverness secured a massive win in their battle against relegation.

Morton remain fourth, while Inverness sit ninth, seven points clear of bottom club Arbroath and just one behind Queen's Park.
