Ricardo Santos: Bolton Wanderers captain has two-match ban lifted after appeal
- Published
Bolton captain Ricardo Santos has successfully appealed against his red card in Saturday's defeat by Blackpool and had his two-game ban overturned.
The defender was sent off for denying a goalscoring opportunity but can now play in Tuesday's derby with Wigan.
Bolton manager Ian Evatt had said afterwards that the club would appeal the decision "one million per cent".
It was Santos' second red of the season but the Football Association agreed that he had attempted to play the ball.
League One promotion-chasers Bolton are third in the table, only outside the automatic promotion spots on goal difference.
