Inverness Caledonian Thistle have moved eight points clear of Arbroath at the bottom of the Scottish Championship after a stalemate with Airdrieonians.

But the hosts will feel hard done-by after creating the better of the chances in the game.

Goalkeeper Joshua Rae saved well from Billy Mckay, who also had an effort cleared off the line by Kanayo Megwa.

Rae took a knock on his face late on and was replaced with David Hutton, who made his first appearance this season.

Airdrieonians stay fifth but are now one point behind Greenock Morton, while Caley Thistle remain in the relegation play-off spot but now one point behind Queen's Park, Dunfermline Athletic and Ayr United.
