Aberdeen's league form 'awful and baffling' - chairman Cormack

Chairman Dave Cormack has lamented Aberdeen's league form as "awful and baffling" after a "sickening" late defeat at St Mirren left the club in the thick of a relegation battle.
Criticism has come the way of Cormack, who appointed Neil Warnock as the club's fourth manager in three years.
Warnock has failed to win any of his first six Scottish Premiership matches, leaving the Pittodrie side 10th.
"We know it's hard going right now," Cormack said in a statement on X., external
"But I can assure you we don't do walking away and we'll get this right."
Cormack says he and chief executive Alan Burrows "totally get" the frustration from the fans.
The pair have also received criticism from the Aberdeen support for only being active on social media "when things are going well" - which the chairman believes "is fair".
"But that's mainly because we cannot answer questions about our employees, like our players and coaches, or discuss detailed concerns which could impact morale," he added.
Since Cormack became Aberdeen chairman in 2019, he has presided over the departure of four managers.
Derek McInnes' eight-year stay came to an end in March 2021 and was followed by the reigns of Stephen Glass, Jim Goodwin and Barry Robson, who all failed to get past the 12-month mark.
Warnock replaced Robson last month until the end of the season, but the Dons have not benefitted from a new-manager bounce, with just two points from six league games - and his only victory coming in a Scottish Cup win against fourth-tier Bonnyrigg Rose.
The 75-year-old looked set to earn his first Premiership victory until two stoppage-time goals completed a remarkable turnaround for St Mirren in Paisley.
"I don't think I've felt as disappointed as that in many years," Warnock told BBC Scotland post-match.
"It's not what we deserved, but that's life. I couldn't see them scoring in a million years and we've ended up losing. That's the best we've played defensively while I've been here, I'm pleased with that.
"We never get anything easy at the minute, we haven't had much luck since I've arrived."
