Dan Sweeney: Stevenage defender extends contract with League One club
- Published
Stevenage centre-back Dan Sweeney has signed a new "extended" contract with the League One club.
The 29-year-old made 55 appearances in all competitions last season as Boro won promotion from League Two, also contributing five goals.
And he has played 18 third-tier games so far this term to help Steve Evans' side to sixth place in the table.
"Dan is fully deserving of his new contract. He has been outstanding for us," Evans told the club website.
The exact length of Sweeney's new deal has not been disclosed.
