Inverness Caledonian Thistle 1-2 Ayr United: Visitors earn priceless three points
- Published
Ayr United hauled themselves four points clear of the Scottish Championship relegation play-off spot by earning a crucial win at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The sides started the day separated by just a point, but George Stanger's early opener set the visitors on their way to extending that gap.
Billy Mckay levelled from the spot in first-half stoppage time.
But Fraser Bryden's 61st-minute winner earned a priceless victory for Ayr.
The win moves Scott Brown's side up to seventh as Inverness, who have won just one of their last seven league games, remain second bottom.
