Guernsey booked their place in the Muratti Vase final with a 4-1 win away at Alderney.

Keene Domaille headed onto the Alderney bar in a goalless first half in difficult weather conditions.

Charlton Gauvain's low shot from the edge of the box broke the deadlock shortly after the break before a 58th-minute own goal by James Taylor.

Domaille made it 3-0 20 minutes later before Matt Loaring got the fourth from a quick counter attack a minute later.

Rio Bowditch blasted a consolation goal for Alderney into the top corner five minutes from full time.

The result means Alderney will have to wait another year to try and end their 104-year winless run - their only victory came in the 1920 final when they beat Guernsey 1-0.

The win was joint managers Dave Merris and Ryan-Zico Black's first since taking over the Guernsey representative side in November.

Guernsey will travel to Jersey for the final at Springfield on Saturday 18 May as they look for their first win over their big rivals since 2017.

Jersey won the title in Guernsey last year when they came from a goal down to beat the hosts 2-1.
