Cardiff Met are currently sixth in the Cymru Premier's Championship Conference.

Cardiff Met have been charged for alleged breaches of FAW and Cymru Premier rules by fielding an ineligible player.

Abe Edwin Davies-Small featured for Met in their opening Phase Two game at Bala Town on 3 February.

Davies-Small had not been registered "to play for the club during one of the Professional Registration Periods applicable to the 2023/24 season".

The Archers have until Tuesday, 2 April to respond to the charge.

"While disappointed at the decision to be charged for a breach of rule 61(B), we accept the charge and will be progressing the case with the FAW to present what we believe are clear mitigating factors," Cardiff Met said in a statement.

"We will continue to work in a positive manner with the FAW to ensure there is a clear understanding of the rules. At this stage we will be making no further comment."
