Raith Rovers 2-1 Ayr United: Murray's men keep pace
- Published
Raith Rovers survived a scare at Ayr United to ensure they stay four points off the pace in the Scottish Championship.
Licking their wounds from defeat to title rivals Dundee United last time out, Dylan Easton found the breakthrough with a gorgeous curler.
United loanee Logan Chalmers found a leveller for Scott Brown's visitors, before Mark McKenzie gave away a penalty that was calmly dispatched by Jack Hamilton.
It means that victory in their game in hand against Airdrie on Tuesday would take Raith within a point of United.
Ayr remain seventh, three points above the relegation play-off.
