Plymouth Argyle have offered in-form forward Mustapha Bundu a new contract.

The 28-year-old Sierra Leone striker has been in fine form towards the end of the season under head coach Miron Muslic, scoring six goals in his last 10 games.

He also set up Argyle's goal in their 2-1 loss to Leeds on the final day of the season last week.

Bundu has scored 14 goals in 70 appearances since moving to the club from Anderlecht in September 2023.

Long-serving midfielder Jordan Houghton and young defender Jack Matthews have also been offered new terms.

Houghton, 29, has played 174 times since joining in the summer of 2021 and helped the Pilgrims win the League One title in 2023.

New Zealand international striker Ben Waine heads a list of four players who have been released.

Waine, who signed for an undisclosed fee in December 2022, struggled to break into the first team and spent the past season on loan at League One side Mansfield Town.

Wing-back Saxon Earley and young midfielders Will Jenkins Davies and Josh Bernard have also been released.

Earley has been on loan at Wycombe and Lincoln City while Jenkins Davies has spent much of the past two seasons on loan at Torquay United.

The rest of Argyle's squad remain under contract, with Muslic stating last week that he wanted "answers" over the future of key players such as Ryan Hardie and Adam Randell, who are entering the final year of their deals.
