Burton Albion have signed Stevenage defender Terence Vancooten and South Georgia Tormenta full-back Nick Akoto on three-year contracts.

Guyana international Vancooten, 26, joins for an undisclosed fee. He moved to Stevenage from Reading in July 2017 and made 176 league appearances for the club.

Florida-born Akoto, 25, started his career with AFC Wimbledon before going to America to play at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

"Speaking to the sporting director and the owners, the things that they have in place and where they want to go is something that I’m really excited to be a part of," Vancooten told the club website.

Burton have also added 27-year-old Ivan Inzoudine from French fourth-tier side Chambly Oise, although the left-back was immediately loaned out to Swedish top-flight team Kalmar FF until January.
