West Bromwich Albion have signed Juventus left-back Gianluca Frabotta for an undisclosed fee and Aston Villa winger Lewis Dobbin on a season-long loan.

Frabotta, 25, has agreed a three-year contract, having made 18 appearances for Juve in Serie A and the Champions League.

He also had a series of loan spells at clubs including Frosinone, Bari and Cosenza.

Dobbin, 21, joined Villa from Everton for an undisclosed fee earlier in the transfer window but will be at The Hawthorns for the 2024-25 season.

Dobbin made 20 senior appearances for Everton before joining Aston Villa.

"It’s the perfect opportunity to get first-team minutes and show what I can do," Dobbin told the club website, external.

“I’ve heard a lot about the Championship and I know it’s a tough, competitive league. I’m ready for it, though. I really want to show what I’m about."

Baggies boss Carlos Corberan is aiming to go one better than last season and gain promotion to the Premier League after defeat by Southampton in the play-off semi-finals last term.

The two new signings could feature in their opening game of the new campaign on Saturday, away to Queens Park Rangers.

"It’s a dream for me to play in England and experience the football here," Frabotta said.

"I’ve had a difficult few years because I have had to go out on loan a few times. I want to be part of a long-term project and I am very motivated for this."
