Sunderland women to play four matches at Stadium of Light

Sunderland will play a minimum of four Women's Championship matches at the Stadium of Light next season.
The Black Cats finished third in the league last season, five points adrift of champions Crystal Palace.
Their other league matches will be played at the team's regular home, the Eppleton Colliery Welfare Ground.
"With the evolution of the women's game and the current developments to the ground, we are delighted that we will be hosting games at the Stadium of Light," said Sunderland women's general manager Alex Clark.
"It provides exciting opportunities for our players and allows us to further connect with the city.
"We are also thankful to still have the existing relationship with Hetton Town Trust as we prepare for the 2024-25 season, and look forward to welcoming existing and new fans back for the new campaign."
Sunderland broke their attendance record when 1,477 watched their derby victory over Durham in March, and will face fellow neighbours Newcastle United next season after the Magpies gained promotion.
