Dutch midfielder Kenzo Goudmijn has joined Championship side Derby County on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Eredivisie side AZ Alkmaar.

The 22-year-old rose though Alkmaar's youth ranks but only managed to make 13 league appearances for the club since making his senior debut in May 2019.

He has spent much of the past two campaigns with Dutch top-flight rivals Excelsior on loan, with his second stint at the club coming after playing a part in Alkmaar's Europa Conference League campaign at the start of last season.

Goudmijn, a former Netherlands Under-19 international whose 2023-24 season ended in relegation with Excelsior, is Derby's fourth summer signing.

Former Sheffield United and Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn was the first recruited, with strikers Kayden Jackson and Jerry Yates following soon after.
